Over the past 3 or 4 years, the most popular question from our clients and from new enquiries, has been pretty much the same… “Can you suggest some Bangkok team building ideas, something original, something we haven’ t done before?”
And every time our team returns with the following questions…
“What would you like to achieve from the activity”
and…
“What has work well for the team in the past?“
The team at Teambuilding.co.th have over 30 years of experience designing and delivering everything from 5-minute high energy icebreakers to gourmet cooking team building for 500 ‘MasterChefs‘, from 1000 person musical team activities to Keynote addresses to the United Nations on redirecting food oversupplies to where it is needed most. (Our Community Kitchen is an awesome CSR cooking program that feeds people living rough on the streets).
The key to developing and delivering amazing team building in Thailand is to have a plan. By having a greater understanding of the teams dynamic, its challenges, a scope of where the team is headed into the future, and most importantly (especially in Thailand) how the cultural and religious mix of the group effects the dynamics, designing a suitable and engaging Thailand team building activity is made a lot easier. This is especially important for international groups with a multinational staff population.
And if this sounds like your team, and you are an inbound group conferencing in Thailand with delegates flying in from many countries, then this alone can make or break any team building activity and influence it’s the measure of success.
Working closely with your conference and event planner will ensure our team can design and deliver the most suitable team building activity for the team, one that is engaging, motivating, enables the team members to develop new relationships, and of course, is a whole lot of fun!
IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA OF THE TYPE OF ACTIVITY YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO FOR THE TEAM, ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS TO ENSURE THE DAY IS A SUCCESS…
Make sure the activity is compatible with the objectives for the conference or event. If you just want to have an enjoyable afternoon socialising with colleagues do not choose overly active events. If you have more formalised objectives it may help to get “buy in” from the participants. Our motto for great team building is ‘Sell the need before the day’.
Never use the activity as an opportunity to single out, belittle or humiliate individuals. And don’t force team members into uncomfortable situations in front of their peers, as it usually ends in tears, and will guarantee a spectacular failure.
Take into account, ages, gender, personality type, physical limitations, culture and things people have done in the past.
Consult experienced and professional team building companies. Many providers will claim their cooking class, coffee making, or laser tag is team building when really it is just an experience, with no structured team benefit. It can be very confusing, especially when researching and finding engaging team building activities in Thailand.
Speak with a recognised team building provider ( Of course I am going to say that!)
